    Thats the progress of today... tommorow will be the big day to work... Also got the tranny off the motor, and am struggling how to get the motor on an engine stand... anyway how the hell do i get the engine to mount to 4 places on the engine stand? I can only get 3 arms. Ill get a picture in a few minutes.

in that last pic with the motor on the hoist, from behind it your dad looks proud dude. I rarely get to see that out of my dad because my step mom scourns me and my dad for our love of cars...

wish he showed enthusiam for a car at all...
He is proud and i learned alot from him, but he wont even talk cars with me anymore because of how indepth i get. My buddies love being able to work on the"race car" but he could care less. He also wont drop a dime in the car, which i dont mind, but i wish he would chip in occasionally.

Me and my dad have had some pretty good ones too. anyhitng from the scavenging effect form longtube headers to internal transmission operations. He knows quite a bit, but someitmes it slips from him and hell make careless mistakes...like jacking my car up form the rear differential... Ughhh My dad was the one that talked me into getting Long Tubes and I was about to go through with it but then the synchro went out... Now all I want is an o/r X and because of my step moms input, he said that I shouldnt get it but said that he never said I couldnt kidna thing... My dad will help me with my car or a friends car if I ask him too and he wont show enthusiasm, but I can see it. He just loves working on cars. He told me the only reason he didnt become a mechanic is becuase it didnt pay enough. he said I popped up and said he needed to be making more money. so he now prgrams the network for a flight similator system here. Ft Rucker is a huge aviation base step parents...

shit my dad is the only one i CAN talk to..my mom is into it a little bit...my dad helps buy everything and does all the work..i have no interest in wrenching...i just drive the car...that doesnt mean i cant..i changed my intake mani when it cracked..but its not my cup of tea...i let daddy do that stuff..after all..it IS his job

well... the heads and cams are toast, as well as the pistons and the bearings somewhat... I had two valve spring retainer clips come out of the head valve spring, which caused PTV, on one cylinder, and then made the timing jump. Only way for a valve spring lock like that to pop off is for the motor to lock up and then pop back into rotation. Found the two valve spring locks in the oil pan...
IVe got a fucking set of 3000 dollar paper weights... out of trying to have fucn i guess, i tore the block down to a bare block. Crank shows wear from bearing, block was fine, piston rings were great. he oil pump pickup tube was completely clogged... causing the engine lock up. So i get over that shock... Put the new to me crown vic motor ont he engine stand... I planed on putting my PI intake on there and putting the 150 pills in. Turns out we get that off and then the water pump... and its all rusted thorough... After this week i Have 50 dollars to my name basically... Lucky i can get the 950 back for the crown vic motor i bought. But i owe that to my sister anyway who let me borrow the money for it.   AFter i cleaned pick up tube... At least you can use those expensive paperweights to hold down all those bankruptcy papers you'll be filing for at 16 just to get out of debt and have a car again.
 Good luck, it's a bummer seeing as you were so close to your goal and now you don't have anything. I'm a believer that even in the worst of conditions that people get out of them. well i pulled the passenger valve cover and it looks like water got in the crown vic motor too... guess my plans on a running car this season aint happening...
but i did get my UPR Coil Over kit... Picture will be up tonight...

well, its called racing... I mean it went out doing what i wanted it to alteast... It was at the track when it did it...
