The Beast Part 2
Well many of you guys followed my first thread. It was when I did the head swap on the car and a few other odds and ends...
Well it ended up running for 6 days. 50 dollar mistake on my part. Anyway so Ive slowly been pulling it apart. Yesterday I had a feeling i was getting a motor, so i pulled the K member down and all that and have 4 bolts holding the motor in. Tommrow it will be pulled. ![]() here is what i bought today. ![]() ![]() ![]() 95 Crown Vic Motor. less than 27K 950 bucks. Figured why not use the lifters and rockers and timing equipment with less mileage right? I also have a dead line, so the price was good enough for me. Orderd UPR coilover kit, and have the QA1 k member ready to go in basically, just have to get the spindles off the old A arms. ![]() Will update as i go. Plan on having it running by Friday night... But have to have it running by Sunday Morning. That is the Ford Fest at my local track... I should be able to do it...

are you putting the heads, cams, and all the other good shit into this motor as well? or can those be put into a crown vic motor and still work?

yea that crown vic motor is exactly the same as mine basically. Diffenent intake, but its NPI. So my PI heads and cams and all that will go on this motor... and 27K on the rings will beable to handle the nitrous hit better than 125K. haha

agreeed i could have found better, but i also dont have time, and this is the lowest mileage i could get... also has a warrenty, where if its not in good condition, he will buy it back...

50 dollar mistake was not changing the oil...
I had to drill out the oil tensioner plug... got too caught up in it running and running well that i didnt change the oil... metal ate everything up...

this time it will do fine... i am actually lucky as hell. with no oil pressure, the cams and head journals could be fubared, these ones were only scarred a little, and not ruined!!!
i wish i had the garage to do this one... I would have the engine out tonight... But im going to spend about an hour on the heads just cleaning them to get all that metal shaving out of them...
