just got an email from my sister. my dog we've had since i was about 12 was put to sleep over the weekend. she was pretty old and arthritic. but the reason she got put down was, she was bitten on the face by a rattlesnake. poor things face was swollen and she couldn't see anything. so, my sister took her to the vet and had to make the decision to have her put down. bt, she was in pretty bad shape. not sick or anything, but just suffering to even stand up. it was sad to watch her try to move around.

my sister is having a really hard time with it cause she feels like maybe Sugar could have been treated and that maybe she made the wrong choice by having her put down.

it's hard to imagine that when i go home in a coupe months, my dog won't be there.

even my dad was upset over this. and he HATES animals. but, we've had her for so long that she's just always been a part of the house/family. she will definitely be missed. she was a good dog.

we had to put my parents jack russell down last year. very hard thing to do.

that sucks.....but the poison was probably already in the blood, not to sure but the only cure is anti-venom, which i dont know how common it is for vets to keep that around

that sux man. my dad accidentaly ran over my 13 year old bassett hound a couple of years ago. that dog was my third birthday present. i know how it feels man. i know your probly not ready but another dog will work wonders for your family

i don't think they'll be getting another dog any time soon. they still have my badass cat. that bastard weighs over 20 lbs. i'll see if i can find picture of him. he's a big boy. and cooler than the other side of the pillow.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I had a similar situation while i was in the ARMY...Family dog was going blind and was arthritic...my father was also not very pet/animal friendly but it bothered him big time when they had to put im down...Now they have 2 dogs that are attached to the hip with my father...

my friends pug was attacked by wolves she lives in the mountain. and my other buddies (dunno what kind) got attacked by 2 german shepherds . both dogs were put to sleep . they were both sad as hell .. from when i heard that story whenever i take my dog out i carry a weapon in case anything tries to attack my lil pup i have no problem killing injuring an animal

he's pretty big. his gut sways back and forth when he walks. it's funny. but, the vet says he's not overweight. he's just a big framed cat.
