so...this is what I've noticed lately with all the talk about drilling alaska...

dems don't want to drill there because they want to save the wildlife, and are worried about the environment....

and republicans are lying to us because they're getting good profits off the situation now...

neither one wants to drill...

my god...the parties are actually agreeing on something...

we are so fucked

Well, your right. But at some point in time we have to hold business's responsible for their actions. If I cant get a diamond for my wife because its too expensive, so what. Nobody dies. However, the cost of crude oil is NOT just an inconvenience. People are dying and suffering from it around the world. Because of the increased cost of corn because of its use in fuel, there are ares that are now seeing death due to starvation. This is a dramatic example but NOBODY dies from not getting a diamond.

For that reason... fuck their profits at some point. Is 25 billion a quarter not enough?

Energy needs to be regulated differently for a reason. This isnt Mcdonalds cutting back cheeseburger production to decrease supply and increase demand.

One question on the subject that isnt really related as long as Im typing here... Why didnt the US government use the "rebate" check money to build a refinery instead? Just wondering.
