alright is there a program i can download that will clean out my hard drive of un necessary programs an stuff?

my comouter has been slow the past few days an i cant get on certain sites because they wont load.

ive restored several times already an its still the same, Firefox or IE7 just aint loading

please help!!!!!!!!

If your HDD gets so cluttered that it starts slowing down your internet i would recommend you backup all the things you want to keep and do a full restore

i just did a full system restore on it not to long ago

i mean the internet is fine, just wont load some pages

take your router and unplug the power to it, leave it off for a min, plug back it..........that will clear the cache on the router or it should thats what roadrunner ppl tell me

now download ccleaner, run the cleaner then run the registry cleaner

i have the Verizon FiOS

So ill do the routher thing first, we have our TV hooked up to as well

just go to ur control panel to delete any unused programs

im tired of this computer, i dont care what anyone says about Compaq computers but there straight up garbage, ive had the hardrives replced twice, recovered atleast 6 times in the past 6 months an nthing seems to work....

This fuckin junk computer

restart your computer, as soon as it starts to come back on keep pushing f8 then it will say safe mode, safe mode with networking, or safe mode with command promp

use arrows on the keybord to safe mode with command prompt press enter

then log in as admin

type

cd\ then press enter

it should say

c:\

then type

del index.dat -s

and let it run utill it stops and you see the c:\

then type exit and use ctrl alt del to restart computer

I agree...compaqs suck. I never turn mine on unless i have too...It just sits in the corner lol
