If you didnt have a 5.0...

If you guys didnt drive these cars what car would you have?

Which car do you think is most similar to the 5.0 in look, power, handling etc?

Id have a F150 lightning, in fact I still might buy one. Im a Ford guy.

Im not really sure which cars are most like ours I think they are fairly unique.

I never been to the clubhouse...

But I never knew this was a tech forum. As far as I seen it just said "5.0 Mustangs".

Am I wrong?

this entire website is tec based, with a few sections meant for non tec related questions....

it happens, there are members that have been here 3+ years that never ever venture out of the section they drive

Well maybe a mod can move this.

If I didn't have my foxes I would drive, I know it sounds a little funny but think sleeper, an SHO Taurus. '97, '98, one of the V8 models. That little 250ci beastie can be modded pretty well and can really put out some power. Only gripe is that it's wrong wheel drive.

Barring that I would go with what I almost went with anyways, a '99 WS6. Wanted one since I first laid eyes on them. Sexy and fast.

I'd be driving something recent from Ford or a late 60's-early 70's Mopar boat like a Newport or an Imperial/New Yorker. Gas milage might suck right now though. I never really got into GM products. Not because I was brought up that way or I group think or that I am brand loyal for no apparent reason, I just don't think they have made anything that I liked since the early 70's. I had a GM X body and than an A body in the 80's and those were enough for me. I know a lot of effort goes into making sure parts can be used across different model lines and years by all car makers but GM seems to take that to the extreme even when the part probably should have been redisigned for a specific car to fit and work correctly. An example being on a Sonoma pickup truck a family member owns, if the drivers seat is more then half way slid forward, the edge of the seat is up against the window winder. Not really that hard but most cars, you grab the knob and turn, not on the Sonoma though, you have to move your body out of the way and reach down between the seat and door. Hey, everyone has opinions.

There are a lot of cars that I have owned and enjoyed. I like my 03 tibby with V6-6speed, I've owned a few VWs, a BMW-M3 would be fun, corvettes are nice.

Basically my requirements are power, decent looks, 2 doors, and a manual transmission.

The car that is most similar to the 5.0 in looks? A 2.3 fox mustang...

or maybe a dodge daytona 2.2 turbo.
