pretty good one

So my girlfirend is going to her dads house in Illinois for the next couple of weeks, so I took her out to a town about 30 miles form here that has a bunch of restraunts and a nice mall. Well while Im down there I call up a friend of mine who has a 1997 Civic hatch thats turboed. After me and my girlfriend eat and all we meet up and talk and i look under the hood and its pretty damn nice...

Well he calls up one of his frirnds who has the exact same set up as him but minus the turbo. He wanted me to race him and see how I kept up. It has a B18 in it which is pretty damn strong for what it is. Comes with about 200hp. 200hp in a 2500lb car will get up and go.

Well they had been persistant with me all night about racing and kept telling them that Im worried about cops and shit and that Ill wait, well that didnt happen. I tell them that Im headed on my way back home and they followed me.

We came up to a stop light both of us up front and we were just talking and we both just took off normally, then he punched it, so I did too and left his ass quick, fast, and in a hurry. I put like an instant 2 cars on him and kept it.

We were on the highway to go back to my city and my friend was in his friends car. My friend called me and asked if I wanted to slow it down to a 45 and race from a roll. I told him Im gonna lose, its the Honda roll. He said well see.

I down shifted to 2nd and they wanted me to honk. His horn didnt work. Hew took off on the 2nd honk and it was dead even and then on my shift to 3rd he pulled a little bit. I take a bit longer than I should on my shifting for the safety of my transmission.

By the time we hit 120mph, I was on his rear bumper. I was surprised to say the least. I kept up with a 13 second car thats a Honda, and Hondas shine up top. I was happy with my result even though I lost.

I told him we shouldve raced from a dig and I just smiled. He just said nawh I dont think we shouldve and laughed as in he knew I woulda beat him from a dig. It was all in good fun and my gf enjoyed it. I kinda got worried when I went above 100mph with her in the car, so I declined a 2nd race.

anyway, i know how you feel. my fiancee goes with me almost everywhere, and I always try to be more careful w/ her in the car. ESPECIALLY since she's prego.

i cant remember if it was before or after. I think it was before the second time.

Either way, Ive learned on it now and can launch pretty hard on it and still get them to hook up

Yeah I knew that was gonna pop up after I said that... It had already been broken in but it was still a 'new' clutch get what I mean? I had never launched on it so I bogged it the first few times.
