do short throw shifters put more stress on the synchros and the transmission itself?

I finally had the oppurtunity to feel a short throw shifter on a Mach 1 the other day, I must say I like it alot...

I just dont want itto put a shit ton of stress on my transmission...

No, its shouldnt put any more stress on the transmission. All it does is lower the leverage point your shifting from which is why its a lil harder to shift. The snycros may wear a lil faster cuz your shifts are quicker, nothin id worry about though.

id owrry about it lol

Ive already had my third and second gear rebuilt because of synchros. 2nd didnt need it, but they were starting to wear out and he did it on the house

What i ment by dont worry about it is that it wont a cause wear any more notiable than normal. Syncro wear is not a reason to not get a short shift. The man reason auto makers make it longer it cuz the force you need to shift lessen by a multiple of the length and they dont want some little women strugglin with the shifter and nto buyin her car.
