18 on the highway and 13 in town?!?!

These cars are amazing. They look great and are going to be pretty quick with basic mods. I'd LOVE to have one, but still....I have to wonder about someone who is going to shell out the coin for something like this. They either #1-Have more money than they know what to do with or #2-Borderline retarded.

i guess if you had the money to buy one, you could just park it in the garage and look at it. occasionally, you could get in the driver's seat and make car sounds with your mouth, because with that kind of gas mileage and the rising cost of gas, you'd be insane to drive it around all the time...

you can get em cheaper. they have about a 10k mark up around here. But remember they are only making a few of these SRT-8's

I would rather have a GT500 with a KB swap...
71k is alot, especially when it get 13 miles to the gallon ( most likely in prime conditions ) when gas is headed to the mid $4 range...

If some knucklehead wants to walk in and pay 70k for that which is NOT worth it by any stretch in my imagination, then let them. What the dealer makes to pay his sales guys, mechanics, taxes and self is none of my business.

The only thing thats my business is what Im paying for it. "Profit" is not an added option that makes the car worth more like a stereo or an alarm.

Its crazy to me. I dont think people need to know. We've become such shitheads in society that now we need to know what a dealer is profiting on a new car? Most people cant even balance their checkbooks right let alone decipher and honest margin.

There is an orange SRT 8 at the dealer here and its going for 56K it has a 14,999 markup. I wouldnt buy that shit you posted. The markup is more than a new mustang gt
