DO NOT slip it at all
heat cycles, do as many as you can before getting on it hard. youll want to drive the car from cold till it heats up, then let it sit for a couple hours, then do it again and again. the more the better. after about 500 miles or so of heat cycles and not romping on it, it will good and broke in and you wont have to worry about it again!!!!!

you know in your videos of you doing the burnouts when youve got the revs way up but let out on the clutch slow, that is slipping the shit out of it.

to not slip it, give your car some rpms, then just let out on the clutch smoothly. dont keep the clutch pedal half way presssed, dont drive with your foot resting on the clutch pedal. slipping it whenever the clutch is not engaged, but isnt completely off either. the flywheels and pressure plate are rubbing instead of clamped together thus causing lots of heat, which will wear out the disk, and screw up your flywheel. plus it stinks like shit when the clutch is slipped

I usually give around 1400-1500 rpm and slowly let out the clutch

give it a little rpm and when you feel the clutch start to grab, give it more gas and release the clutch

The flywheel should have been resurfaced or replaced whenever he initially did the clutch job. But he should do it agian when he replaces it this time. The flywheel needs adressed when doing a clutch. The cable is something that doesnt need to be done when doing the clutch it has nothing to do with the clutch R&R. I would say that you need one if you havent done it before though.
