zoom really that good?
so tommorow the shop that i have a clucth warrenty with is pulling the zoom out and installing another one (supposedly for free)
i asked him if i could give him like 100 bucks for him to put in a centerforce clucth, spec stage 2, or king cobra and he said no becuase zoom is the best clucth out there and i didnt even bother arguing with him about is so honeslty is zoom a decent enough clucth?

theyre good, but for someone to make a claim that a certain clutch is the best shows you jsut how ignornat of a mechanic he really is...

It all comes down to personal preferance. I like the way the spec stage 2 feels personally, but have had a couple king cobras that I liked along with a few others that held up well... No expierence with zoom though...

drive it normally. do 450 miles of city driving. no hard downshifting and no launching.
try to keep your foot out of it. or you could do acmilrs way.... find a nice curvy road and floor and downshift into every turn...

i wouldn't take it straight to the track.....also it depends on the clutch on how long the break in is.....call the company and ask

demello, this is how to break in a clutch properly.
DO NOT slip it at all heat cycles, do as many as you can before getting on it hard. youll want to drive the car from cold till it heats up, then let it sit for a couple hours, then do it again and again. the more the better. after about 500 miles or so of heat cycles and not romping on it, it will good and broke in and you wont have to worry about it again!!!!!
