Okay i dont expect any responses or any suggestions but i wouldnt mind your input.

so i just got a call from my mom yesterday . as soon as i got the call i went to the hospital ASAP . my grandma just went went there . my mom also saids if shes lucky she can make it for 2 more months. the reason im pissed / sad / confused is how much of a shitty grandson i am.. my dad left basically when iwas born so my mom had to work 18+hr shifts.. so i lived with my grandma. i know im only saying this caues im her grandson but she was the best grandma in the world.. if i didnt wanna eat what she made . she would take 2-3-4-5 bus's to the market to buy one thing i wanted.. she taught me to ride my bike . shoot my first basketball and even "christianity" she did everything for me . but a lil bit ago she couldnt walk anymore and she got minor alzhemir? so she cant remember that well but she remembers me . she cant fucking eat shes like 70lbz... i shoulda went to visit her in her nursing home while she was okay.. but i couldnt even do that . she loved sourdough from jacks costed like 2$ for the burger and i couldnt even get it for her . haha sadly as im writing this im in tears . i dont expect anyone to understand . but please dont say any negative shit about her cause i really dont care if i get banned for that.

That sucks man, i'll be praying for your grandma. And your right i really don't know what your going through, so i'm not even gonna pretend that i do but ya know its never to late to start spending as much time with her as you can. (not being an ass, just saying ya know.)

Dude sorry to hear that! yeah I understand completely! I felt the same way when my grandfather passed. I was so upset because His favorite thing in the world was fishing and he planed a fishing trip for me and him and I couldnt go because I had to work. so he rescheduled and then the day before my grandma complaind to my grandpa saying that he needed to go with her etc etc. the next trip was planned for after he got his goulbladder removed. and after they removed his gaulbladder his blood was to thin and then his liver failed and his organs gave out 1 by 1 and I never got to go on that one last fishing trip with my grandpa. and he was the greatest and nicest guy in the world and I wish I could of hung out with him more! He supported me in anything n everything just as long as it wasnt going to get me hurt. He was a breakfast host at the hotel I was workin at and allways was the 1st person I seen in the mornin and when he wasnt there anymore it was so sad to not see him come through the front doors holding his pipe and smiling and making a joke.

I'm sorry to hear that youngin. Just spend as much time with her as you can cuz at least you can do that. I know it's gonna be tough to see her like that but at least you'll get a chance to tell her how much you love her and appreciate her. I'm here for you if need someone to talk to. i'm very sorry for the situation you're in with your grandma. i can kinda relate. about 8 years ago, i lost my grandfather. he had been sick for a long time, and for all intents and purposes he really should've passed 5 years before he actually did. we (my family and I)considered ourselves blessed to have had that extra time with him. we were very close, he helped raise me when i was really young. i still rememebr the last time i saw him alive. he was in the hospital and i could tell he was in really bad shape. after i got the news from my mom that he was gone, i cried for about an hour. all i could think about was the last time i saw him. if i had known i wasn't going to see him alive again, there would've been so much more i would have said to him. but the thing about life is that you never know how much time you have left. i understand how you feel about being a "shitty grandson". all you can really do is take the time now and tell your grandma how much you love her and how grateful you are for all that she's done for you. it'll eat you up worse if you don't seize the opportunity to do it and she's gone before you can tell her. i'm sure she knows you love her, but make the most of the time you have left. if you need to talk, shoot me a pm bro...

Very sorry to hear. You really need to go over there and tell her you love her and say goodbye. Though the docs are saying maybe another two months...you never know, that could end up being tomorrow. Spend those final moments with her in peace and love. I don't think you can bring her food, but you might want to ask a nurse if you can bring her one of those burgers...it's the little things that make a world of difference.

My girlfriend passed away on the 2nd, took me by total suprise. She had health issues, just never thought they were life threatening. She had passed out back in the middle of june and broke her jaw. I'm deployed so i couldn't visit her. I never did call her...didn't want her to cry because she couldnt talk. I thought at the time she was going to get better and would talk to her when she got put in the regular part of the hospital. I've been really mad at myself for not having the nurse put the phone up to her ear. I've always made sure that she knew how much i love her (before the accident).

Take it as you want...just trust me man, you will feel much more at peace with her passing if you say your goodbyes while you still can.

hey man i kno how u fell, my grandma is in a nursing home in orlando, and she just got catarax(sp) and i havent talked to her in a minute, didnt go up and visit her in orlando when it was her birthday, and when i do visit her, i just dont talk that much. i really hate seeing people like that so i usually just stay away, lol shes like 94-95 and i think she got a lil more to go but i feel for u man. i kinda tearing up a lil too typing this. but i kno your grandma will be in a better place. just try and spend more time with her if you can. kinda hard for me because im 3 hours from my grandma

life really kicks you in the nuts man......the army took me away after high school so i wasnt around much for the last years of my grandmas life, ill try to tell u my story but it breaks my heart thinking about it

it was mothers day and we had a 4 day weekend so i drove home(i was 4 hours from home), they found out she had liver cancer for awhile but she wasnt doing to good they put her in the hospital,i got there fri and seen her she was happy as can be and everyone was around talking and what not, i stayed for a bit and visited and what not and left and did my thing for the weekend, well that monday i went for my dad picked up a 24k gold dipped rose for him to give to her for mothers day which was monday and i was packed up ready to go back, by monday things got bad and she couldnt even talk, when i left i went held her hand told her i loved her and that night she died


i know regardless if i was there alot or not i know she was proud of me and loved me, i know shes not mad at me for it but i do wish i could have been around more

It sucks! Plain and simple. It is one thing that everyone will have to go through in life. The one thing that sucks about it is usually there is regret. That will really kill ya right there.

I know exactly how you feel. I have some regrets when my grandfather passed away last year on my birthday! I hate living with the regrets, but there is nothing you can do about it now. Just tell yourself that you had a great time with her and she loves you and I am sure she has no regrets. It's all a part of life. My prayers with your grandma!

dont feel sorry for what you didnt do. That is a normal feeling for Everyone to feel when someone is dying or has already died. My grandpa who was my father figure never got to see me get my first car, graduate high school, get my first job(these aren't in order), learn how to work on a car by myself, etc. I felt I could have done more, but in reality whats done is done, and you can't change it. It's a normal feeling to go through, but it still sucks. It's just a realization of what you could have done.

Never for one second doubt that your grandma loved you, because it's pretty obvious she did if she did all that for you. Just because you wish you could have done more, doesn't mean she isn't proud of who you are, dissapointed in what you didn't do, or love you any less.
