what it takes for a realible 200mph stang


ive heard this question asked several times on this site and i have even asked it myslef a few months ago

typically the question ive heard is from somebody wondering just if its possible and the answer is clearly yes from an article in the new 5.0 maginze

this car started off as a 06 sixxer and now puts 870hp to the wheels but is detuned for realibitly according to the article

it is going to be raced in september on a 90 mile strip in the las vegas area

Engine and Drivetrain

Block - dart machinery
bore - 4.125
stroke - 3.750
displacement - 400i
crank - scat
rods - eagle
pistons - je custom
compression ratio - 8.5:1
cam - jones racing cams, roller
cam specs - 0.666/0.646 lift at 0.50, 260/263 duration
heads- afr 225
intake - trick flow box r series
power adder - procharger f-1r @ 15psi
t/b - accufab 90mm
injectors - rc engineering
fuel pump - dual, in atl supercell 32 gallon fuel cell
headers- custom
exhuast - custom 3 inch with spin tech mufflers
tranny - tremec T56
clutch - tilton 7 1/4 in
rearend - 8.8 in,torsen diff, moser axlers, setrab rearend cooler (would not say what gear ratio)

engine managment - fast xfi
ignition - msd 6al
gauges - auto meter

Front Suspension

struts - dynamic suspensions coilover

streering rack - frpp reduced-assist
