what it takes for a realible 200mph stang
ive heard this question asked several times on this site and i have even asked it myslef a few months ago
typically the question ive heard is from somebody wondering just if its possible and the answer is clearly yes from an article in the new 5.0 maginze this car started off as a 06 sixxer and now puts 870hp to the wheels but is detuned for realibitly according to the article it is going to be raced in september on a 90 mile strip in the las vegas area Engine and Drivetrain Block - dart machinery bore - 4.125 stroke - 3.750 displacement - 400i crank - scat rods - eagle pistons - je custom compression ratio - 8.5:1 cam - jones racing cams, roller cam specs - 0.666/0.646 lift at 0.50, 260/263 duration heads- afr 225 intake - trick flow box r series power adder - procharger f-1r @ 15psi t/b - accufab 90mm injectors - rc engineering fuel pump - dual, in atl supercell 32 gallon fuel cell headers- custom exhuast - custom 3 inch with spin tech mufflers tranny - tremec T56 clutch - tilton 7 1/4 in rearend - 8.8 in,torsen diff, moser axlers, setrab rearend cooler (would not say what gear ratio) Electronics engine managment - fast xfi ignition - msd 6al gauges - auto meter Front Suspension k member - MM control arms - MM struts - dynamic suspensions coilover springs - Dynamic suspenions coilover streering rack - frpp reduced-assist brakes - ap racing, 14.5in six piston wheels - fikse, 19X10 in tires - michelin pilot sport cup Rear Suspension shocks - dynamic suspensions springs - dynamic suspensions control arms - steeda upper and lower brakes - ap racing, four piston wheels - fikse, 19X10in tires - michelin pilot sport cup

well i belive the biggest challenge isnt being able to reach 200 but rather get there and hold it at a constant speed for 20+minutes (90 miles)

You could try a test track, they are desinged to test a cars top speed.

Well you mention you're car has 88hp, and I'm not shure on the numbers of the SRT4, but it's alot more than you're car. I'm just providing info.
