ok, so I posted this in the visual section... then realized no one really goes in the visual section here, haha, so I'll post it here...

Is torch red on a 2003 stang the same as performance red on an 01?

torch red has a paint code of D3, and performance red has a code of ES

but they look really similar... so I was just wondering if they just renamed it or something?

it's not that important, don't go out of your way for it.

I was just looking at this hood from an 03 to replace mine, and noticed they were different names, but looked similar in the pictures I've seen.

I'll probably just go out there and put the hood this guy's selling onto mine to see if there's any noticeable difference in color. can't be that hard to swap the hoods real quick... especially since his is sitting in his basement and not on his car

pics wont do it justice...red can be two completely different colors side by side, but look exactly the same online
