Isle Royale brother - cleansed my soul of all my burdens for a week with about 50 lbs on my back. Can you believe I didn't drop a single freakin' pound? But I got some new muscle, I'm sure!

Ummmm...I think we did pretty good on "being prepared" as the Scout's say. I wasn't prepared on how to shower in the woods without polluting the lake so I just didn't. YUCK. But the last day we were there, we learned how to make your own washing machine out of a zip lock back, camp soap, lake water and a near by bush as a dryer. Can give details if you wish

Loved Loved Loved that Island and cannot wait to visit it again! Although the trip back on the Queen was one I could surely miss again - 3 hours of 5-6 foot waves and some 7 footers -

I managed to hold it in but several others graced the decks with their lunch. I just found a corner on the floor and laid there like a drunk for 3 hours. lol

Where in the UP again? We went in from the WI side through Eagle River, Houghton/Hancock to Copper Harbor. Beautiful country!

Curtis... what's it close too that we might have been in? Gorgeous up there - thinking maybe I'll go back to school - get a forestry degree and when I retire I can use that and work for the Nat'l Park service or something

Uhh....does a moose shit in the woods? Speaking of moose - we had 3 within 20 feet of our shelter house one night. A yearling male, a cow and her calf. The cow and calf fed in front of us in the light of the full moon for 3 hours! Was SO COOL! lol We had so much fun - so many stories to tell. Once I get the pics uploaded I'll put up a thread with captions so I won't bore everyone.
