So Today I Was Driving To Work And I Passed A New Challenger Going The Other Way And Wondered How Well It Would Do Against My Gt They Claim More Hp But The #s Dont Seem Very Good .

The challenger are heavier than hell. I dont think a slightly modded GT would have an issue with one...

125 more hp than a stock GT i wouldnt even bother to race one... waste of gas

gt's are totally screwed from rolls stock and modded, because modded usually means 4.10's. FI is IMO the only way to beat competition

Saw my first one today. It was on the back of a semi truck. Couldnt even make it to the dealership and its getting towed away, haha.

the funniest shit was im pretty sure he was like going all out and i was granny shifting at 3k and still won by like a car

those cars as slow as balls tho

my girlfrineds mom has one and i was curious to see how slow they are so i floored it and it took 11 seconds to get from 30-60

i got back and i was like holy shit you need a v8 and her mom laughed

hp isnt everything. and considering its an auto and its a dodge product he is probably putting at best 340 to the wheels on a car that is about 600 pounds more which gives it a 12.05plbs to 1 horsepower ratio. a gt manual with a cai and tune putting on average 290 to the wheels has 12.06plbs to 1 horespower ratio. good enough odds for this blue oval boy.

besides the challenger rt is our huckelberry and i say we own that thing when it comes out. compare the srt 8 to a gt 500 and its toast from a roll. plus dont understimate these overhead cam engines from a roll, get some 4.10s and call it a day.

They are tough looking cars though i really like the way they look.

They run low 13s stock, so it shouldn't take too many mods to edge one out.

if i weren't planning on rebuilding my entire rearend i would've already done the 4.10's think i'm going with them even with the sc'er. either those or 3.90/3.89's

the new challengers look nice, but a slightly modded GT shouldn't have too much of an issue keeping up. A nice supercharged GT will destroy it though. Motortrend was on crack with their Challenger/gt500 comparison outcome.
