So a friend of mine just got a 2000 Camaro Z28 Automatic with SLP lid, 4.10s, Flowmaster catback with cutout on the I pipe, and Z06 wheels wrapped in Nittos 245s up front 275s out back...

think my little ol GT can take him?

its a clea ass car. SOunds mean as hell when he opens the cutout. Its not very loud though. its stil lgot the stock mid pipe on it and all that so....

The paint is immaculate, but it needs a good claybar. even after he waxed it, it still felt a little rough...

So did you ever confirm it was indeed 4.10's?

You'll probably loose. Unless he just presses the right pedal as hard as humanly possible when the race starts, he really can't screw the race up with an auto.

For a long time my 00 Z/28 was lid/catback/4.10's with Nittos on the back and it surprised a lot of people.

hes throttle happy and I know it.

RK I finalyl found a good calculator on ls1tech and used it. if anyhting theyre steeper than 4.10s... I havent been able to CONFIRM it, but its at least 4.10s...

Were gonna put it on jacks sometime soon and count the rotations.

I dont expect to win, but itd be some serious bragging rights right?

I would bet 4.10's. I have RARELY seen anything steeper than that in an auto, let alone a manual. Not unless it is a car that just sees an ass load of track time. And if the only other mods are lid/catback and it's sitting on 555's than I doubt it has anything more aggresive than 4.10's, but you never know....

I dunno if hes lying about his rpms though...

the calculator I used which was DEAD accurate on my specs, said that at 25mph in 2nd gear in an auto LS1 Z28 with 4.10s was at like 2200-2300 NOT 2600-2700 which is what he said...
