Modern Mustangs of Jacksonville presents - The 2nd Annual MUSTANG vs. GTO Shootout

Location : Gainesville Raceway

Date : Saturday, November 1st., 2008

40 Mustang's vs. 40 GTO's

1 Day Only

In order to register, go to Modern Mustangs Of Jacksonville MMJAX.com and log into their forum section. It's located under the DRAG RACING catagory.
This seems like a great time and seeing pictures from last years event, I can't wait to be a part of it.

Hope everyone can make it. I'd love to whoop up on some goats.

This is going to look really bad for the GTO's. Considering there are only like 40,000 modern GTO's produced compared to the hundreds of thousands of late model Mustangs in the world. I don't even know if there are 40 fast GTO's out there.

actually, there are more GTOs signed up right now then there is Stangs.

I agree. The market for aftermarket late-model GTO performance parts is simply very scarce. However I can see the potential as their engines out-displace the 4.6L by quite a bit. They could pull off an upset... if you want to call it an upset.

GTO's can't fit a tire any bigger than a stock street tire under their wheel wells

?? Stock rubber is 245 I have 265 with no problems and many have 275 Nitto's with no problems not sure where you got your info. Also with some fender lip rolling and other simple mods I have seen anywhere from 285 to 305 on the rear that is plenty of rubber.

I wish this was not so far away I would be there for sure sounds like a blast.
