im thinkin drililng in alaska (which will take like 10 years) will not be a very good solution to our problem

in the 70s, the oil companies fucked us twice.. and we responded by upping our fuel economy in our cars

this drove gas prices far, far down and it was like $0.80 a gallon for a while.. then we got cocky and here we are.. dependent again

but you need to remember.. we just made things equal. for the oil companies too.

raise our price for grain and propose a contract that will only lower it as much as the highest price for oil.

We have to stop being so arrogant. ESPECIALLY with making very small changes. Hey, if it saves one barrel a day, its worth putting air in your tires and checking to make sure thy are at the proper pressure.

Its about what it does for you NOT OBAMA. Fuck Obama. Satan could have said it. It makes simple sense. Every little bit helps. Not only that, it makes your tires last longer too so maybe it cuts down on waste. Also, it makes your car safer and braking more controllable and predictable.

I think its a great idea to talk about it. Some people will bash others no matter what they say.

ummmm oil companies didn't screw us OPEC had some factor but if you read history One of the major reasons why we had the oil embargo was cause of the Yom Kipper war oil embargo then Iraian revolution then Iran/Iraq war is why in 70s and early 80s Gas at the pump and oil was expensive then when those wars/revolutions were over oil dropped back down again yes i agree with you MPG did play a factor but only a small part. Lets not mention back in 1999/2001 Opec cut its production by 4.2 million barrels.

Yes... I would say 99% of the people on this site. But what about the people in that town hall meeting he was speaking at? What about the rest of America. alot of them really dont know. Im only saying it doesnt hurt to talk about this stuff. Its simple and every should be doing it. It doesnt take tax dollars either unlike every other idea. sure the benefits are small but its totally free and has other good side effects.

Maybe while someone is checking the tires , they check the air filter too. Its awareness.
