Well as some of you know i am a field service engineer for a bio-med company that services and sells cancer treatment equipment. I have only been with the company 6 months as of the 15th Aug. Last week i found out that we are getting the service agreement for a new product that treats skin cancer so i was like cool. Today i get a call from part owner of my company asking me if i wanted that new product, that out of everyone they chose me to get training on it and it was gonna be my baby. I said hell ya, so i will be in charge of that product for all of the northeast, installs, service, training, and demoing to customers. I am just so damn happy that after 6 months the company wants me to head up the new product. That is all, just kinda made my day.

You say "machine" for treating? Can you describe or do you have to keep it quiet yet?

BTW- Does your company need a accomplished Rep in Tampa?

I don't have to keep quiet about it, it was actually on the market back in the 50's and 60's alot, but since the linear accelerators (which is what i work on) came out they have been treating skin cancer with it also. But since the accelerators advanced so much there are doing more complex treatments that take more time and then it takes too long to setup for the skin cancer patients. So now hospitals are getting interested in the new machine again since its smaller and more compact and patients can be in and out in less than 10 minutes.

I had pre basil cell blah blah blah. They cut it out with a scalpel. Whats the advantage of a linear accelerator vs a traditional method?

well with the accelerator it still has a problem with contacting healthy cells about half a inch below the cancer which isn't good so they would have to put a build up on the tissue. Well with this machine we just picked up it doesn't have that problem and there is no pain, the patient can still be in the wheel chair if need be (older people) and clears the fear of needles and surgery. The pre-basil could of been treated and cured with the machine we are getting. Here is a link to the machine.

Will medacare pay for this type of treatment? I assume it costs more that the knife.

Hmmm....I had skin cancer about 4 years ago (when i was 12). All the doctor did was numb me and cut it out

Awesome...maby now you can keep the stang. If not at least buy us beer this weekend.

why can't you drive it? if something is broke and cash isn't an isuue...maybe fix it.

just don't want to spend the money to get it registered and inspected. the virginia reg is expired and if i want maryland tags i have to get it inspected and i have no cats, i have dumps, and hood is a little too big lol. If i could put everything back to stock i would just to enjoy driving it again. Its only fun going down the track now and thats it. Now my new truck is fun to drive and gonna be alot funner pretty soon
