Duplicolor High Heat Engine Enamel

Got a new project I want to try.

How well will the engine enamel stick to the plastic valve covers on a GT? Or should I just go with the high heat spray?

Also which blue will be the closest to sonic blue?

http://www.duplicolor.com/products/colors/highheat.html

Im kinda color blind so I need help with figuring out which one will match the best.

The paint will probly peel regardless. Your gonna have to scuff the plastic real good before you paint it. If you took it to a shop and had them do it with real car paint it wouldnt peel. Hell if I wasnt graduating school this thursday you could send me those covers and I would paint em for free with real car paint sonic blue

But if your gonna do dupli color that Chevy blue looked pretty close

I cant have it peeling, and I want to do it myself...I'm gonna need it to withstand engine heat.

i did mine with the engine enamel with quite a few coats of clear... but i guarantee they get scratched.. its almost 100% impossible to maneuver the covers onto the heads without the gaskets falling off the bottom of them.

Dont use clear. Cricket. The clear makes it look like crap after a while. My setup with no clear is holding up fine. and if you drop the k member down about an inch or so and let the motor come down, valve covers are really easy to put on with out scratching.
