my trip to the track


was fun as fuck

didnt do to great et wise but i think it mite have been the heat cuz my trap was really low

my first pass i had a .5 r/t with a pro tree and cut a 1.9xx 60ft with a 14.1 @ 97

figured i was looking great with a decent 60ft but instantly noticed my trap was really low

mad 2 more passes and the same results low 14s at 97 with a 1.9xx 60ft and low 9 second 1/8 (like 9.05-9.2). best r/t was .111

my freiend with the c5 was there and he was saying my trap was low becuase i wasnt powershifting so i let him make 2 passes with me in it and he ran the same times as me with a 1.9xx 60ft and shifting hard as fuck. gusseing he would have broke 13s if i wasnt in the car but still the trap was only 97

the track was hot as fuck tho and i asked a staff personal and he said the temp on the track was 125-130

still glad i went

ended up spending about 70 bucks and pissed about 14s not to mention my DRs are shreeded up but i dont regret going

beat a bolt on charger that was spraying in the 1/8 but he ran a 13 flat over all and i kept up with a whipple termie till the 1/8 but he had just bougth the car a couple days ago and had never been to the track and had street tires

he ran a 12.4 @ 112 (extremelly low trap like mine?) and a 2.0 60ft

got 7 more passes tho fast fox and SM....

Not bad for the first time. It was really hot today and was super humid with this storm looming off the coast. And your 60' is decent, some LCAs would really help though.

now about some of the cars i seen there...

not to many serious cars (as in full roll cage) but more then half were stangs that were standing up for the 60ft

there was a vw bug with a big ass engine and turbo showing that was loud as fuck

definitly the loudest car there. sounded like a machine gun rapidly going off and then a big boom and it was off

oh and no times were being shown but the car that seemed to be the fastest (didnt lose a single run out of about 6) was a rwd converted scion TC which was pretty crazy

im more worried about my trap....

i thought stock was like 99mph and im pretty sure my 60ft is better then a bone stock mustang?

a good driver can pull a 1.9 60ft but keep this in mind its your first time out your not gonna drive your car the best its capable of your first time out. those arnt bad times it was hot on the track and im geussing it was pretty humid to.

btw i was really impressed with the one and olny import street car there

complelty gutted and weighing only 2100 pounds
a 95 hatch all motor
ran a 14.1 @ 96 with a 2.2 60 ft

i g2g but all in all im guessing its just my trap and its cuz the heat

i should have trapped like 103 which would have given me a like 13.7 pass with a 1.9 60ft correct

and i thought it was funny as fuck when my friend drove my car and after we crossed he was like thats good for mid 13s and he got the 14.15 time slip lol and was like "wtf...this heat sucks"
