So lately me and my parents have not been doing so great...

Last night I came home from work at midnight and the first thing I hear is screaming. They are screaming at me saying that I dont care about the family and whatnot and that my clothes and all my shit are out on the back porch.

I sat there and thought for a minute and asked what is this about and what for? They said because you left clothes on your floor. (btw my parents got new carpet for my room as a Christmas present... Some gift right? and it was 4 articel of clothing)

They have been threatening on basically a daily basis to kick me out ever since I turned 18 almost a year ago...

They almost kicked me out the week of my fucking highschool graduation...

So I have quite a dilemma here...

I worked out a few situations...

Option A)

Rent an apartment. Take out a full blown student loan to cover my tuition and books).

Apartments around for a decent one are $400 a month-ish and $800 plus for the really nice ones. If I can find a roommate, I can look at about $300 a month after utilities (roughly). Gas will cost me about $100 a month seeing as how I am carpooling to school every other week.

Right now (as a manager in training, Im making $8 an hour, which for southern Alabama is pretty good. Right now per week, Im bringing home $260. Multiply that by 4 and we have $1040.

Gas - Roughly $100 per month
Rent + Utilities - Roughly $300 per month with roommate
Food - WAnt to try to keep it around $150 a month, but its a variable.
Car payment and Insurance - $315 per month

Total expenses with roommate = roughly $900

Total expenses without roommate = roughly $1200

Obviously Id have to get a roommate to make it.

Option B)

Atempt to put up with my parents' constant threat of kicking me out and possibly go through with it at the worst possible time, be a maid around the house while working 40+ hours a week on top of 15 credit hours at school, and keep having to deal with being the scapegoat of the family and have my father and my stepmother take all their aggression from work and whatnot out on me...

Advice please. Sorry for being so long and to understand the situation at hand, you have to read the entire thing. Sorry no cliffnotes

it will be extremely hard on you if you move out. stick it out for a while.. maybe even try to talk to your parents about it. if all else fails, start lookin for a roomie.

Serious though... I mean. I dont know what I should do. Moving out right now seems liek a logical option and I understand it would be rough on me, but if thigns keep going the way they are I wont have another option...

honestly i think u should suck it up and move out on ur own. sure taking out the student loans is gonna suck when u have to pay them back, but ur going to school so u can make lots of money anyway right?

just as soon as u graduate pay 2x the amount ur sposed to pay and it will cut the intrest in half

Its funny how they go through all that drama right before you move out. then a month will go by after you do and they ask, "how come the kids dont call" and bug the shit out of you to fix their car when your at work.

Actually, the college Im going to is a 2 year 6 semester deal and you come out making $24 an hour... thats starting out too...

I only need about a $8500 loan for all of it seeing as how Ive already apyed over $1500 of my own money...

Well I DID learn how to work on a car from my dad...

Only thing I dont have of my own liek that is a good tool set..

That's a tough situation. It's nothing really something somebody can help you with. It's one of those decisions that could affect the rest of your life that you have to make. Make sure you really cosider the consequences of each choice you have before acting on one. I hope you get it all figured out.

I have a 19 yr old who yes has an attitude and can be a jerk at times, has a messy room works and goes to school. I must say I would not kick him out as long as he is doing all the right things as mentioned. To me it sounds like you are being abused and should move out. May be put school on hold get some cash in the bank so you can live with some ease, and find a good roommate.

Zinc it sounds like your old man is abusive. Is their a history of other abuse, or alcoholism going on here?
