i know square headlihgts = lt1
circle = ls1

how can i tell a v6 vs v8 if the cars off?

The sound. The stance, Tire size. Z28 or SS badge on trunk lid or quarter panel. Some V6's have dual exhaust, but not many.

not exactly LOWER, its just how they stand...

Look at a Z28 or SS then look at a V6.

It's a little more than heads and cam. LT1 is an iron block compared to the aluminum LS1 block. Different bore and stroke. Quite a few differences actually.

Also f-bodies have been using a y-pipe system for years (since '82 if I remember right) for clearance issues on the floor pan.

And yes the f-bodies had a lower HP rating in part to keep Corvette fans from going ape shit.
