Thinking about a motor swap in the ranger
i ve researching stuff 2 do 2 my ranger and i finally came up wit a idea.... I'm wanting 2 throw a 4bt Cummins in it, ive seen many rangers with it because the motor isnt 2 big and all you have 2 change is engine mounts, fuel system and the rear end and you got 1 hell of a truck heres a couple vids of a guy who did it enjoy.

i think you need to just spell out the word "to" instead of being a jackass and using "2" 2 mean "to" everytime you want 2 say 2

yeah but i want 2 do sumtin different than any1 else i know, i know of 3 people in my area that has 302 swaps in rangers i want 2 go fast but in a different way

sounds like a badazz idea.. but it also sounds like it's going to cost alot... how much do those engines weigh.... cause that weight has got to really put a strain on the front end of those rangers. but the real question is do u want to put ur DD out of commision for the next 6 months?!

i work on those motors and there not hard 2 work on and they dont way as much as a regular diesel its a 4 cylinder cummins and i have another truck i can drive

if i turbo it, it would be a 2.5 turbo not a 2.3 the 2.5's stock crank can hold up 2 30lbs of boost. if i did do that i would put forged pistons and rods and drop the compression to 8:1 and do a sum head work and i can put a t3 on it and tune it at 20lbs and make 300whp

i thought you sold your mach 1 to pay for school or somethin and bought that ranger cheap, why would you go and spend big money on putting a cummins in it now. Don't get me wrong i am a huge cummins fan (see sig) but just don't know if it would be worth the hassle and money.
