anyone every use this i want to learn spanish and im thinking about using this

Ive heard its actually very good. I havent tried it but might sometime because knowing Spanish here will be very valuable. If you get it, report back on it for us????

I actually bought a series of DVD's a few years back to learn Spanish. I never took it seriously at the time so I ended up not learning shit. It was interesting though because it was like Sesame Street for adults learning another language. I could see where it would have helped.

Where Rosetta Stone exceeds is in the voice recognition software. That shit is kick ass. It allows you to practice the words without someone elses help and still pronounce and remember the words correctly.

they used to have rosetta stone for free at my library and i used it

its pretty damn good in my opinion

i also use Pimsleur's for my other languages.. Pimsleur's is voice only and does a good job getting you to learn the specific sounds

whereas Rosetta stone does a good job of connecting images to sounds and you'll learn how to spell in that language (a lot of ppl think u shudnt focus on the spelling of words as u learn a new language.. but i find it harder to learn if u can't connect sounds to letters)

I did a free demo at the mall and the kits they were selling were intended for voice/sound as well as picture/word recognition. They would sound the word/phrase out, you would match that to a picture, then you would repeat the word/phrase into a microphone.

i really liked rosetta stone but its expensive like a mofo

i like pimsleur's cuz u can dl it from online since its just music files but u gotta do some research to learn the rest of the language.. which is pretty easy once u know what ur doing
