to trade or not to trade?

so my buddy wants to trade me my 17" 03/04 cobra wheels for his 18" cobra R wheels.

i just put new rear tires on my rear wheels like 2 weeks ago

the tread on the cobra R's have half tread on 2 and need 2 tires

should i make the switch???

i wouldn't want to buy 4 18" tires if i already had new tires but that's just me
