So we had some strong winds around here for about four or five hour yesterday morning which left 60% of the city without power. Well I had a big ass branch come down in my backyard and took out the power line b/w my house and the pole, needless to say Im without power ( and have been since 10 sunday morning ). I called the power company yesterday morning ( becuae I have a line down in my backyard pressed b/w my fence and the branch that brought it down, they said with all the city outages it was going to be b/w 5-6 days before they get my power back on. My house looks ghetto as hell right now, because I have an extension cord draped across the street from my friends house so I could power my tv and cable box ( light and entertainment ). But this just downright blows... No hot water, No refridgerator, No lights, No AC, ect.....

damn that sucks. i would of went and bought a generator and used that. but its good you have someone who would let you drape an extension cord across the street haha

The worst part of all is that this whole week is suppose to be sunny and in the high 70s and I cant get the frigin aston out of the garage ( I know theres a little pull cord that releases it from the motor track, but mine doesnt have one ).

It amazes me how bad the electrical systems up north actually are, haha. I had power until 2 o'clock saturday morning. I live in Southeast Texas and got nailed directly by the storm and had 100+ mph winds hitting my house and everything aorund it for 6 hours straight before anyone in town lost power.

Up north will lose power with wind that gusts alittle hard, haha.

I'm right with you man. Lost power in the middle of the Colts game. The problem w/ the power isn't blowing the poles over, it's blowing the HUGE trees down on the power lines. I heard there was winds clocked at 70mph in Bloomington.
