its a self-demeaning cultural dilemma. the young hip-hop class wants to be "cool with their crowd" so they sag their pants, keeping them low in class, unable to move up the social ladder via job opportunities, etc. who would hire a sagger for a 6-figure jo? now, granted, some people can clean up when needed, but this is also a part of the attitude this group exhibits.

to me, let them sag. they are one less person competing with me and my goals in life. and once i get where i want, i will have no need to directly interact with this subculture of people.

I must be white trash because when I was growing up, the kids in my neighborhood did that back in the 80s and 90s. It was NOT a fashion thing though. It was because we were fuckin poor and all of our cloths were hand me downs that were too big. It took us 6-12 months before we grew into them right.

Honestly, I never even knew it to be a statement crossover from incarceration. That seems a bit idiotic trying to look like some fag from jail. Whatever though. I dont care what people wear as long as I cant see their private parts or butt cracks. Its just underwear. Hell, my son doesnt even wear underwear sometimes... he says its too constricting... so I bought him boxers and now he does. But you know, Lil J and his buddies all wear size zero's and really tight pants. Thats the style here now anyway. He go's to an Art school for High School and I've picked him up many times. Saggers are out of style now. Most the kids are really wearing tight stuff now and I've even seen "stone washed" coming back now too. Saggers are yesterday.

Thanks Red. I realize that he will mature with his "style". As long as he's not getting in trouble and his grades are good, he could dress like Elton John and I cant say shit. The only thing I put my foot down on is anything that is permanent... like a tatoo. I dont mind tatoos but I see too many kids have them put on and things just change too much when you are a teenager. I dont want him to live with regret. He can get one when he's older.

But V, I like your idea... alot. If I start wearing a pair of double zeros when I take him places.... LOL!!!!

its actually not.. i dunno where u got that from.. u watch waaaaaaay to much TV

the whole "fad" came from poor people who couldn't afford new clothes so htey got hand-me-downs that didnt fit right and thus baggy jeans, big shirts, and a nice middle-finger for the stuck-up fucks that think its anything else

and its also quite comfortable.. much less "restrictive" if u catch my drift (unless u got a small pecker, of course)
