Gun under water

I have the exact same gun. I checked it and it is magnetic. I woud definately look for it since a new one is around $500. Also notify the police like said above and see if they have a dive team that will look for it. There are dive and recovery type government agencies.

If that water is anything like the canals off tampabay...and it looks like it, you don't want to be in them... some of the nastiest, dirtiest, puke-inducing waters around... def. try a surface technique like the magnet, but as said, it isn't where you'd think it'd be... good luck

even a lake has a current, the moons gravity affects it. Guns gone and i agree with stangfreak here.

Should really report it to the police like mentioned, maybe they could help look for it with their gear. Just make sure you report it to them with-in 24 hours of it being lost.
