Direct tv

I'm thinking about switching to direct tv! Does anybody here have it? If so how do you like it?

I had it for a little bit...It sucked...Always loosing signal during storms and stuff. I'm back to cable now

I use to like it with a hacked card...all channels for free

including all the adult channels

. But that was years ago...it will go out in bad weather but not more than just for a few minutes at a time. Not sure on rate comparison with cable as that will vary with location but the best thing about it is when there is some cable problems in the area due to storms sometime it can take days to get it back depending on how bad the damage...but cable at least where I live has great uptime too...and when it does go out it comes back pretty quickly! Satellite and Cable anymore nowadays have lot of channels and channel packages to choose from.

i love it. I wouldnt go back to cable if it were free. I rarely get knocked out during a storm and when i do, its only for a few minutes.

I have had it for years....never went out for storms until they upgraded to new dishes...still it's rare and for only a few moments....plus the football package it a must have for us....it's about 25 less than cable for us

My mom has it. Well weve had it for years, and i dont know how the weather was for you guys, but when it rained, that shit was out and stayed out for a while, in one of our rooms at least, but still was pretty bad in the living room. But my mom likes sat. better than cable

I've had it for 4 years now (no cable available here) and am quite happy with it. I've had signal loss during heavy rain storms too, but only for a few minutes though...they recently gave me free Showtime channels for a full year for being a faithful customer...not bad.

I had DirecTv. I didn't have a problem with them. Good service and stuff. But it was a tad more expensive than the cable we have right now. And I didn't have the HD box, would have had to have "leased" it for a lot more than the cable costs. Overall, it was a good company as far as that goes, but right now I like Comcast more. And they have OnDemand which I like A LOT

I had comcast origionally,.. then went to dtv to try it. like it, but went back to comcast to do their tripple play, and realized i hate comcast. I will be switching back to dtv very shortly. Comcast doesnt have shit for sports,. no nfl season ticket, no league pass, nathan at all,... i can only watch the games they decide to play

Not on the package we have. It was actually extra on DirecTv. Extra for the channels and for the HD box with the DVR.

we have both, and aside from the occasional going out during rain storms as said previously, satellite pwns.

and you have to get the NFL sunday ticket! All I do on sunday is sit and watch football games with some tostitos to eat
