Verbally Coerced Off a Lawn

So I borrowed a friends car today. Ran out of gas. The gas guage doesn't work I guess. Fuck. I am not from the city I have no idea where a gas station even is. I see a light on in a house on the corner. I walk on the sidewalk (didn't even step on this guys lawn) and knocked on the door. It was a middle-aged (40's) couple watching t.v. They just looked out the window and ignored me. So i thought okay, maybe this is a shady neighborhood.

Keep in mind this is going on at about 9 or 9:30 ... not really late.

2nd house some white trash balding greaseball. Reminded me of comic-book-guy from the simpsons. He opened the door a crack, and when I asked (very politely) if I could borrow a jerry can, he told me he didn't have one. WTF??

3rd house the guy just went to the window and motioned for me to leave.

Now by this time I was fucking mad, just trying to keep my cool.

4th house, the guy was super nice and loaned me a jerry can.

Walked 6 blocks (one-way) to the nearest gas-station, came back with $5 of fuel. Car started then sputtered and died. I lost it fuckin throwing that jerry can, beat the shit out of this tree near my car, cursed a while, and then sat and had a smoke. When I had cooled down I tried the car again, and it fired right up.

For fuck sakes. What a night.

it's basically a small can for gasoline, like what some people keep in their vehicles in case they happen to run out of gas...

Well there are many containers to hold gas...tins, plastic containers....I wouldn't go as far as saying ice cream buckets. lol

I have just never heard the term jerrycan

The Jerry-Can chased him. He then proceeded to put a hurt on it by throwing it around.

Then he returned the busted-ass can to the person who loaned it to him. And they thought to themselves; damn, maybe I should have looked out of my window and ignored him. Now I have to replace this busted-ass can.
