fish died again

well in the past week i've had 2 fish and a snail die....figured out tonight that it was a disease they got...so i treated that but the fish died anyway, ugh. well looks tomorrow i am gonna head down and get another betta and snail...again...i think ima name this one zip

tank duh

yea i treated that, but i think i was a lil late on gettin the stuff to do it. so after the fish died i just went ahead and emptied the tank and put new water, and the treatment stuff, etc. so tomorrow ill get another fish.

What size tank? What type of filtration are you using?

its a small tank, no filter, i was told u really dont NEED a filter for betta. the first fish i had in it lived for a quite a while, but then got sick and it was kind of a chain reaction

You don't need a filter but it is preferable. But I think temp is the cause of the fungus. It's getting that time of the year where it is getting cooler. Bettas need water temps 76-80 degrees to do well. They also like soft water & a ph level arround 6.0

Go to your local lawn & garden center & pick up a small bag of spagnum peat moss. Put a small piece in the the tank. It will help condition the water & keep the proper ph for the betts.

Nope, it kinda looks like dried seaweed. Just use about a 3in piece/stem
