if it is driveable, yes...but doesn't sound like it with a leaky transmission.

the trans line is the only thing leaking, the ppl that wrecked it put a rubber hose an water clamps around it to get it home.yes its driveable,i have drove it, the inside looks like new, runs good other than the cooling temp control switch makes it hesitate a little.,i mean with 68k on the motor an trans ,but surely it would be worth 1 grand to just fix up on my spare time an money

your kidding me right
68k engine and trans combo - ~700-1k$+ on ebay 30th anni interior depending on condition could bring in over 1k$ from car enthusiasts 30th anni wheels could bring in 400-700$ depending on condition + more with misc interior parts such as the dash (cracks?) exhaust? etc.. Your looking at a big profit just from the parts alone. After its all parted wait till scrap prices come up a bit and take it to the scrapper and make about 250$

it's an LT1... its wrecked, dash is probably already cracked because its a f-body... he doesnt want to sell it.. he wants to fix it up and drive it... if I'm reading it right... go eat your crotch and shut the hell up. not to mention as cheap as lt shortblocks are now (with all the bells and whistles...) why would someone want a stock motor with 70k miles... the transmissions are shit as you already know being a gm guy... and it was in a wreck.. maybe the wheels arent spotless. the car is after all 11 years old.... Cool man cool, the whole thing about me eating my crotch and shutting the hell up was totally needed in your post, there is a burnout box if you want to say stupid shit like that.
Anyway, the t56 is used in z06's, vipers, cobras etc.. please tell me how this transmission is shit. 700r4s and 4l60e's are decent transmissions as well. The main weak spot on the fbody was its 7.5'' 10 bolt Yes we all know whether if your a ford enthusiast or not that fbody dashes are pretty prone to cracking, as all dashes are, however not all fbody dashes are cracked including mine so cut the stereotyping bs. In other words, my post was intended to tell the guy that it was a good buy for the money considering if he ever wanted to sell this project he could turn around a profit. (it being a 30th anni camaro and all) Some pictures would truly benefit this topic imo.

like i said the dash is NOT crack, the inside looks like new, just lost control of it an hit a guardrail ripping the front bumper off then turning around an before it hit the back of the quater panel the concrete on the walkway on the hardtop ripped the trans line apart.then smashed the quaterpanel in.

imo, Its your money, is it worth it to you? Sounds like your kind of heading in that direction on buying it, so go for it. If you can fix it well enough to have fun with, its worth it. And you can probably make your money back out of it when your tired of it or need some parts for the mustang. I'm a Ford guy for sure, but I diffently would be tempted just to use it to trade up in parts that I want if I had the money to spare.
