I Voted Today

Yes, in GA, I voted in person today for none other than Sen. John McCain

and a ton of local shit and state constitution amendments, but nonetheless.. mccain has an early lead

i am extremely fiscally conservative but socially liberal. ron paul doesnt have a chance, and neither does bob barr. so +1 for mccain

you know, it is more than just a general election. i had senate seats, judicial seats, and other local offices on the ticket too. local politics affect your more at the end of the day.

i voted yes for a 1% SPLOST and for some community betterment plans as well

you know, it is one of the things i love about columbia county (evans/martinez, ga) ... we have a great community. we have been (for several yrs now) on the top 50 places to live in the nation, and i credit our low property taxes and community amenities. we have a state of the art performing arts complex, brand new library that could compete with the one at UGA, a recreational lake, tons of golf courses, top notch schools (both public and private) and we keep growing...

I would vote Nadar. The guy has to win sometime lol haha.

But obama has it won as long as people dont get the thought in there head that since he has it won that they dont need to go vote for him. The highest voting percent was 80% i believe back in 1896. Dad told me tonight that this year is expected to have a very high turnout for the first time in a long time. My though to this belief (nothing being raciest or anything along those lines, just using true facts here) is that since a minority person is running all the poor minorities are coming out and voting for him. It is proven that an older/white/woman/educated/rich person is more likely to vote. The lowest is a younger/asian/male/uneducated/poor person.

the younger one has changed in recent years to rather high numbers, so hopefully young people will continue to vote in big numbers

^it is slowly changing, not to where it should be in the first place. Hell there is a graph in my book (published in like 06) that shows we have one of the worse voter rates in the world. Indonesia and other countries like that are in the 80% and such. we are down in the 50%

There is all these "YOU have to REGISTER to vote!" ads on TV, the Internet, and even on Video games.

In my book if you are too stupid to know that you have to register to vote, you have no business voting.
