Yeah I'd be all for a gun club. I have about 25 give or take a couple. I havent counted in a while. I dont have the room to practice any long range shooting but I can hit .40 casing with my .22 rifle at about 20 yards or so pretty easy. That's about the extent of my shooting abilities as of now. I have to say though my favorite rifle was my AR-15. I loved that weapon so much. Wish i still had it. I do have a romanian AK-47 that's pretty fun to play with though.

want a gun that recoils, come shoot my 300 mag. its rem 700 pss, leupold mk4 m3, and i handload a 200 grain moly coated bullet with 72 grains of powder. shoots that 200 grain bullet at about 3100 fps. that sum bitch will pop you. the gun weighs about 13 lbs, and by 35 rounds, my shoulder is bleeding.

With exactly 4 shots, it has about a 2.5 inch group. WHich is good enough to deer hunt. But i want to do better. Im going to adjust my trigger this week and then re zero it in at 300 yards becuase i am going to montana mule deer hunting in about 2 weeks
I will take pics of the target when i am done. I am going to zero with the bench rest and then practice shooting off of the bipod since i will be doing that out west. I think adjusting the trigger will probly help a little. Its such a tough trigger pull that you start to wonder if the gun is actually going to go off and i think that might be messing with my breathing and possibly making me flinch.

a strong trigger will defintly throw your groups off. thats why precision shooters shoot with a light trigger. my 700 pss is breaks clean at 2 lbs even. its a stock 700 trigger and its as far as you would want to go on a stock trigger while staying safe

DId you adjust the trigger on the 700 yourself? How do you measure how much it is to pull back? I was going to adjust it until i like it, But i was thinking of like 3lbs

Ha! That's nothing. Worst gun I ever shot was my Puma 92 .454 Casull. Only gun that ever made me flinch. It was a 300gr slug, forget how fast. The rifle weighed around 7lbs I think. Made the .450 Marlin and even my .375 H&H feel like rimfires.

If you are going deer hunting sight in at 200yds where your point of aim is your point of impact.

At 100yds you will be about 1/2 " high, and at 300yds you will be about 1.5"s low

i shoot the .454 casull in revolvers all the time. that round is not bad at all.

Never shot it in a hand gun but I can assure you that in a light weight, short barrelled, sliver stocked rifle with no pad it's hellacious. I've shot BMGs, Rigbies, Lotts, etc and that was the only one to make me flinch.
