Crazy question...
So yeah you guys may laugh at me for this.. it's kinda out there, and I think I already know the answer.
My family has a 1995 Volvo v6 850 Turbo thats pretty much junked, my folks plan on donating it for the tax write-off. Think there's anyway possible that that turbo can come out of that car.. and into my 2002 v6 Mustang? |

My father said it wouldn't work because a Volvo engine is COMPLETELY different than a Ford engine.

You could do it, but I'd really look into how well that turbo is going to match your engine. At the least, you'll have to do custom exhaust and intake manifolds, and if you're smart, you'll keep the turbo flange from the volvo to use for your setup.

umm it's easy.
take the turbo. rebuild it. and custom fab the piping. a turbo is a turbo dude. lol it's how you route it is when it gets expensive.

I wanna get my v6 to roughly 250 rwhp... whats the best way to go about that? (in general, doesnt have to include turbo or sc)

a turbo is mostly universal, as long as you can get it onto a exhaust manifold,header, and get custom piping done etc etc, the turbo really isnt that good, and would be cheaper to just buy a nice turbo for around 600-850 or so, for the amount of money it will take to fab up a custom setup for it, it will fail horrible, yes its possible, no dont do it

i just put on a vortech at 6psi and am at 272rwhp. i spent about 2600 total on it. by spring i want to have a new rear end, clutch and a smaller pulley. and still be on stock internals

You could buy everything you need and get a shop to fab it. Wouldnt be "cheap" but would be cheaper due to the fact that you would only be paying for labor.
