How do i say thanks?

I know i don't post in here very much, but i'm completely clueless on how to say thank you to a really good friend...

A little over 3 months ago my Fiancee passed away. She didn't have life insurance so money has been really tight getting everything taken care of. Charity left behind a beautiful 7 year old daughter...Micah's real dad has been a real dead beat dad, its a long story but lets just leave it at that...I've been more of a father than he ever was. Well i've been doing everything i can to show my love towards her daughter and helping the family get custody of her. Charity's parents really dont have the money for the lawyer and all the other expenses. Well i found out the other day that Charity doesnt even have a headstone at her grave...talk about a kick when i was already down!

Well my really good friend Daisy called me up today...really was not expecting her to say what she did....First off she gave me some really great legal advice...then she said something that even 3 hours later still has me in shock. Keep in mind that we really dont have the money for all of this, and our priority right now is to get custody of Micah...well Daisy told me she wasn't taking no for an answer and is going to donate Charity's headstone...i'm still in tears over this.

Daisy has done the most generous thing anyone has ever done for me...i really don't know what to do right now. She knows that we really appreciate it, but i want to do something for her. I was thinking about sending her flowers and a card...but that just seems so basic. Anyone have an idea of what i can do for her?

have her meet the family that she is helping, that should really help touch her, and help her realize that she has made a HUGE impact on you and the ones you hold near to you.

Time will allow you to pay her back, just stay strong and don't ever forget her. There is a thing called karma, and you will have a chance to pay her back someday in a way that is more meaningful then cards and flowers.

I will never forget her, she was beyond amazing. Having Daisy meet the family is a great idea! Thank you for that idea! She has made a huge impact on all of our lives.

i agree with this in the fact that someday you will have your chance to do something special for her in return. its a rough time for you right now and she understands that and doesnt expect something in return, she sounds like a great person to me and i wish everyone was so lucky to have someone like her in their lives.

i hope things start to look up for you!

i definitely see where you're coming from. it's hard to really thank somebody when they do something like that. my advice is for you to just tell her how much it means to you that she did that, and take your time figuring out a way to really return the favor

Write her a letter. Put your feelings down. Be honest. Take your time writing it.

Bring a notepad with you, and write your thoughts down as they come to you.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your fiancee man. I hope your pain begins to ease eventually.

Zip is right a letter seems appropriate - a gift or gesture won't suffice. Just a heart-felt thank-you. This is one of those things that is too amazing to repay. One day maybe you will be able to give her a hand when she's down.
