Possible career oportunity
ok there is this awesome web design company in birmingham. They are so good that they have people from stafford coming for internships. Well this place is really laid back and stuff (like they have a room with an xbox and stuff) and their online application was just funny. Well a guy i worked with filled it out and sent it in and they called him back a few days later. So i Said what the heck, I'll submit one too and see what happens. So yesterday i filled it out and I get home tonight and mom tells me that the company called me and wants to talk. So needless to say i'm super excited and felt the need to share. Even if i only got to make coffee for these guys it would be awesome to have this on my resume.
I'm going to be up half the night researching more about the company incase he decides to pull a phone interview. I'm kinda nervous about talking with him. It's a bit intimidating. Are there any tips, words of wisdom, helpful suggestions that anyone might have for me? |

Just relax and answer their questions honestly. If it's a good tech firm, saying "I don't know" is perfectly fine, so long as you back it up with "but I'd start by..." and give them a rundown of how you'd go about solving the problem.

see this place is really weird. It's very informal and honestly I dont know what to expect. I know that the guy wont hire people who come to the interview in a buisness suit and judging by the online application there would probably be a good bit of humor.
Like one of the questions on the online application is "Your walking through a baran desert and you come across a dead naked man lying face down in the sand with a lone straw. What happened?" |

Answer their questions honestly, and ask your own questions. You have to show that you're just as interested in this job, as they are in pulling you on board. Be relaxed and even though it seems like a informal environment, "Sir" and "Ma'am"...until they tell you that you can call them by name. That's really all I got. Be respectful and inquisitive, but not uptight.
and you said there were no jobs in Alabama

haha i never expected this one. There are a few but most of them require a few years of professional experience. This will be an internship i'll get paid for through the school (i'm assuming) but it would be great experience
