look into some sevendust or killswitch engage. i like rage against the machine too ... mudvayne ... i LOVE greed by godsmack ... course of nature (not heavy) ... black tide has some good tunes too ... i'm a big avenged sevenfold fan too. dl i dont care or i'm not jesus by apocalyptica (badass mix of classical instruments and electric guitar) two weeks by all that remains is also killer.
for happy-ish rock dropping daylight never lets me down. or buckcherry (particulary lit up or too drunk)
