anyone else interested in language learning?

took four years of german in high school, learned a little

i've actually been at this one for like 5 or 6 months now..maybe a little longer

what languages do you guys know, are learning, or plan to learn?

I plan to get serious about learning Spanish after our yearly outage is over in Feb. The language barrier is becoming a real problem at work.

Does that learning system work well? I have the Spanish version headed to my house now.

Yes it does. Very well. And I actually remember what I learned. Which is surprising.

im using 3 different types of media to learn japanese..

Level 3 as in Army standards. Counts toward promotion points I think...not like it does me any good now, but it looks good on a resume.

Now if you typed that out, like "わかります", I could understand it better. I made flash cards with Kana and thats how I can remember it. Sounds it out. I can type it better than I can write it.

ah im too lazy to master hiragana lol

i havent even begun katakana yet.. how the hell did you master the kana? everytime i get it all down i always forget it after i stop lol

It's all part of the Army's E-learning program. I've been out of the Army for over a year now, and I still have access to all my course material and any other language I want to learn.

Flash cards bro. Flash cards. I have mine on 3x5 index cards on a ring binder.

two sites that i found useful for learning

i got like 3 or 4 more for learning kanji too. lol i know the english translations to at least 60 kanji by now, and only a couple on and kun readings
