F%*&$ Power Window
The diver side rear window on my sexpedition got fucked up some how. It won't roll up or down. So I take the door panel to have a looksie. Anyway it is some damn intricate system of cables that wind around a spool. After messing with it for about 2 hours I didn't get anywhere. Does anybody know of a diagram of it or have any experience with this?
It's a 2003 btw.

If those cables get messed up and get off the spool your gonna need a new regulator.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news buddy, but i have replaced tons of the cable type regulators. They work great until smoething goes wrong, then it really goes wrong.

yep a new regulator is needed, i have to get one also for my 2000, it came off track and me trying to adjust it threw everything out so i need a whole new window now, and regulator. 400 dollars i really don't feel like spending on something i am trying to sell lol

I got a buddy in the parts department at the stealership so maybe he can help me out on the price. About how much do regulators run?

this happened in my dads '01 Monte Carlo SS not long ago...
Liek they said, new regulator. He has the cables and shit... Turns out that where the cable meets on the regualtor guide the plastic pocket it sits in, snapped and caused his window to be stuck down... We boguht a new regualtor slapped it in there and called it a day. Also, grease the arms of the regulator if ya didn't know already. As for parts, Online Auto Parts and Auto Accessories Store at PartsAmerica.com or autozone.com will be your best bet if not a junk yard.
