Any ideas on how to get vehicle at least 2 feet off the ground?

I am going to install my new torque converter on my 2006 Mustang. Anyone have any recommendations on how to get the entire vehicle at least 2 feet off the ground? I was thinking about building a solid wood stand for each wheel. I was going to get a bunch of 4"x4"s and cut them into 3 foot lengths and then bolting them together to create levels that would be at least 2 feet high.

Any better ideas or recommendations or is this not worth doing? Thanks for any input.

just kidding. You could use jack stands or those drive up rams are almost 2 feet. I am building a shop on my property right now about 2700 sq ft and I am buying a lift to put in there I found a place that sells them new for under 5 grand here and they are pretty nice

A hoist, or you could get about 30 migrant workers to pick the car up for you.

That would be the cheapest way, but unreliable

What I really want is this Wheel Cribs 8", 10", and 12" Sizes - Work Stands - Ramp Accessories | Safe, Lightweight Alternative to Jack Stands | RaceRamps.com your best solution for Lightweight Car Ramps! or this NEW! Portable Pit Stop Ramp - Car Ramps | Quickly get your car up 14," great for Mechanics, Racers, and Rally Car Drivers! | RaceRamps.com your best solution for Lightweight Car Ramps! but too expensive.

I was even looking at those metal vehicle displays that they have at dealerships, but I cant find any used and brand new they are $1200.

Thats why I wanted to build wood platflorms per wheel. I think that would be safer than tall jack stands.

Thats not safe to have a car on jack stands two feet off the ground... Your not really suppose to have a car on jackstands over a foot.

use a ghetto jack stand, perhaps a couple real jackstands under the suspension arms, and then a hydraulic jack near where you'll be working just in case.
