update:

i'm still in the hospital - been here for like 39 days or something. i don't know, i lost count.

my mouth is healing verrrrryyyyyy slowly. prior to about 3 days ago, i hadn't pooped since late feb (because i wasn't eating) so i had some pretty crazy stomach problems. as a matter of fact, my stomach problem is now worse than my mouth problem. as soon as i get this situated, i will attempt to drink again. i had 2 ounces of water a couple of days ago which is a pretty big deal for me.

what sucks though is that now i'm in a little bit of a time dilemma. i got chemo here on saturday (i tried to tell them it was way too soon). about 7 days after chemo, my blood counts will start dropping rapidly, which means the healing of my mouth will pretty much come to a stand still, which means i could be in here for WEEKS if my mouth isn't well enough for me to eat or drink more by saturday.

i've been puking everyday for several weeks now too. i can't seem to keep anything down which is another problem. the morphine was messing my stomach up too and stopping me up, so i opted to quit taking it.

that's pretty much all that's been going on. i'm so ready to get out of here. i still haven't been outside or even seen sunlight out of my window for a month and a half. nothing but buildings and air conditioner units. i have a list on wordpad with literally over 300 things i'm going to do when i get out of here, including places to eat, places to go, movies to see, etc. i miss my dogs more than anything though, i can't wait to see them when i get home. it's pretty weird being cooped up and away from everything for so long.. it seems like you get a completely different mindset on everything.. it's hard to explain..

my mom has been here with me everyday though, she has been awesome. i don't know what i'd do without her.

can't think of anything else to write about.. hopefully i will be out of here in the next week or so if i'm lucky..

for nausea they have been giving me zofran and ativan. they used to give me finnergan, but that makes me spaz out like crazy

Not very often at all. The only reason we're getting down this far is because of our plant being down in Sarnia, Canada, and us having to pick product up in New Orleans. So, for example on this trip, we picked up the load in NOLA, and they had us delivering it in central PA. So I passed through the northwest corner of GA, northwest of Dalton, while going up I-59/75.

Do we stop? Only if we run out of hours, which is rare, or if the truck breaks down. It does happen though.

Georgia is a bit of a drive for me, but as soon as you get out (or if ya just want someone new to shoot the shit with) I'll haul my ass down there. Should definitely get a "Cruisin for Bubba" together with some of us MM folk and make our way down there and do a meet-up/cruise with ya.

I know it's not easy to do, but if you ever need a single thing, don't hesitate to ask, we're all here for ya.

Yeth, we CAME through Alabama, down 65 to Birmingham then 59/20 down through Mississippi and on to NOLA.
