here's a little bit of an update:

it's been over 2 years since i had my last chemo treatment. it took me several months to completely get my health back, but now i am fully healed. i get scans every 4 months now, but they have been clear ever since. my doctors tell me everytime they see me that i had one of the worst cases of mouth cancer they have ever seen, but at this point, you'd never be able to look at me and tell i had mouth cancer. no doctor could tell me with confidence if i would ever be able to eat or drink or talk or even live, so recovering as well as i have is truly a one in a billion chance.

all in all, looking back, i can say it was a horrible, horrible experience beyond words, but i can also say that because of all the things i learned, all the people i met, all the opportunities i was given, and the fact that it helped shaped me into who i am today, i wouldn't take back any of it.

Fuck, dude! Man, that's horrible news....hoping they caught all this early enough to be able to keep it under control or get rid of it. Modern medicine is on your side tho, there's amazing, new technology that is getting better every day. I read this tech blog and you wouldn't believe the rate science is improving at. I'm praying for ya, man.

Edit: Woah! Didn't notice this was 3 years old! ...that's great tho, how everything is going well nowadays.

i understand the basics of alkaline vs. acidic diets, but i didn't know cancer cells thrived in higher acidic ph. that's interesting.

i have been maintaining a healthy diet, taking vitamins, and going to the gym weekly, and have had great health ever since. i am also on no medication whatsoever. i do spoil myself with junk food every once in a while though lol

I'm so glad your better bwal!! I just got the all clear from the doc a couple weeks ago and it was an amazing feeling. Mine wasn't nearly as bad so I can only imagine how you felt.
