On Sunday, I went with my high school's band to San Antonio for state marching competition (we've never gotten to that level in the history of our school) where we were one of the poorest (fund wise) bands there and the serious underdogs and we placed ninth. So, this year, North Lamar High School Band is the ninth best band in Texas. I just got home and I've gotten five texts about how the world is fucked and we're all screwed and this is gonna be the end of our lives etc...because Obama won. I'm tired of these texts and this is what I have to say about it...this will be the only time I say it. I'm tired of hearing people bashing this guy with every chance they get. I, for one, don't like him as much as the nearest Harley rider but would you people (you know who you are) please give him the credit he deserves. He obviously did something right to win the election so he at least knows what he's doing. Another thing that people don't understand is that he doesn't have as much power as you think. There are plenty of checks and balances and processes that prevent him from turning the U.S. into some suffering remote country in Africa. (sorry Africa. no offense)


Just thought I'd share what's up with you guys. Sorry for making it such a long thread
