And try googling surgical technologist. While in the Navy everyone rotates through all aspects of the job, at any given time 2% of the staff are washing instruments. The rest are in the suites, setting up, assisting in, and then tearing down. And since turnovers are supposed to be less than 15 minutes, you can see that there simply isn't enough time to indulge in endless hours of bullshit. Most of your time is spent bellied up to the patient seeing some of the coolest shit you can imagine. So don't tear down the industry because you dislike me. Holy shit, I just realized what you are talking about. You probably read an add that said something like "surgical tech needed for post op instrument cleaning and preparation". You will find people who take those jobs. They're usually in their later years, lazy, or just too easy going to deal with the fucking assholes you meet in the O.R.

Think of it this way, auto mechanic needed for suspension shop. Does that mean that all auto mechanics only do suspension?
