Sweet, so i'm guessing you are trying to get back together for Ford Fest? I'll be there with my 97. Leaving the Cobra at home this time. Gonna run the 97. Not expecting much out of a stock PI motor but i'll have fun.

Matt dude, that sucks but i think you need to get things straight with the car before taking it to the track. The track will always be there and you have a while before winter. I would take some trips down the street with it, trailer it to a open street somewhere where you can test some things. I think you rushing trying to get this car running your gonna end up spending alot more money than is needed. Plus you don't want to just piss everyone off at the track when it breaks down, and ends up spewing stuff on the track causing people to wait. It might just be me but i would make sure my car was 100% before i thought about taking it down the track. I mean the damn thing sounded like it barely started and idled and you said you were loading it up and taking it to the track. I told my wife that I put money that the car doesn't even make it down the track or something breaks, not that i wish that on you my good buddy but your rushing it bro.

Well t may seem that way... But after that video(the first fire). I spent 30 minutes tinkering with it. Getting it idling and timing set. Then I took it up and down the street 4 times. No issues. So then I came in and posted that.

It's just the new car blues... Nothing has been rushed at this point. I have learned my lessons on that.

I had not gone wide open throttle til the second pass... That's whenthe tranny took a crap...

I know what you mean, but the track is the safest place and what it's built for... That's where it's going.

Its ready! Finished it up a few minutes ago! 11:00 at night I checked the tranny on the stands... goes through all the gears just fine!

What a fun day. It was great seeing everyone!

Pretty happy with my car. My best run was 15.2 at 94mph... Not bad for all stock. Still have a little left in her to.

Well my best pass was a 12.36 @ 110. it was a 1.78 60'. Turns out that i dont have the trans brake wired up...

but i made 6 passes today.

wednesday the transbrake will be wired up....

ill load up the videos some time tonight...

off the trailer a 12.36 is not bad without any tuning of the carb (jetting, and just 30 degrees timing)
