Man Seet Job.Speakers on my Comp are not working but it looked fast with out sound lol.This thread Realy Realy Makes me want to sell my complete Drivetrain and go back to Push rods.Looks So Clean nice and simple i love it...

Well, I am going to try and get the leak fixed today and get the tranny temp gauge working.... I am going to put it in the pan instead of in line on the tranny lines...
We will see how that works.

Well... started about 8 PM tonight.... and am now done with getting the engine on the stand and the tranny apart from the motor and everything else....
here are the pictures of the rear of the motor.... only option is the stupid ass rear main seal... ![]() ![]() ![]() And now i got to figure out where to tap the pan for the tranny gauge, but that wont be too hard... plan is to have it back in the car by friday night... but if not then by monday at the lastest... oh and I hate the drama a girlfriend gives you... at least my car doesnt bitch at me and cause problems like that... just is always on its period and never wants to pull its skirt up and go down the fricken track..... UGH!!!

![]() ![]() I cant get the rest of the bearings out with out dissaembling the engine completely, but you can see how Main Cap #2 bearing is just completely gone... The rest look good though... So the soonest I can get a set of bearings in probably Monday if EPW has a set or Tuesday If I overnight from Jegs... I got family coming in on Tuesday night that came to basically just see the car go down the track on Wednesday... So... this sucks... i get to tear the whole motor down again it looks like... I still wanna know why just #2 is chewed up though... So who wants to help assemble the motor? I cant catch a break with this POS... I think this is the last straw... Im kinda scared to look at the rod bearings too....

only things i could think of matt is
1. did u get dirt on the bearing? 2. did u put the bearing in the right way? 3. do u have the proper clearences on that bearing? if it does it on a second set of bearings, id say #3 is the problem

bearing was in the right way and clearances were measured... Yea... we will see... my mom just told me to sell the car... and that i cant buy any more parts for it... and I said wait, 100 dollar bearings are going to cause me to sell a car that has more than 7K in it and my heart and soul in it? And she said yes, so I told her to where to put it.... Im so pissed right now... literally im crying because of what my mom said... I will let the car be a jack stand warrior for 5 years before it gets sold because of some stupid bearings... especally since the crank is fine, not one scar on it at all on any of the journals...

but whats magnafluxing? I did the measuring with a bore gauge when I assembled it... but now I cant find the measurements it had... Magnafluxing i may know under a different name...

At this point over sleeping on the issues at hand... I'm going to see if the crank is true and round on that main. And if that's the case, then I'll put new bearings in it and button it back up... But if not, then I'll see if I can't get the crank straightened and put it back together...
