Well I put it together last night. Compression test came out even and everything was good.

I have to unhook the transbrake for my highschool class, but hell it will atleast finally make it to the Friday night races.

I think it may have over revved in the burnout to bring the rocker loose... im going to start looking into a stud girdle for the rockers... that should allow me to spin it up higher.

But today Im going to leave off of a foot brake and shift at 6000 and maybe see some low 12s again.

The car fired up after I played with the timing. I have it set at 30º total right now. Should work just fine.

Hell no I aint spraying it yet.... I think im going to try and squeeze out an 11 second pass out of it before I go and spray it... No need to brake things yet... I got to put it on they dyno to get some tuning done on it too... get the A/F ratio close and see what it does then.

yea good idea. in no way should you spray it until you know all the bugs are worked out. last thing we wanna see on here is "well i sprayed it and blew the motor to pieces"

I am not stupid with the car.... hell the tranny has to come out again.... its not pumping fluid out of it to the cooler... so i have talked to Chris, my sponsor he said its safe to run it, if I use my nitrous to cool the tranny down inbetween rounds. I also am not on a trans brake, so I wont be getting that tranny that hot tonight.

But if that blows at least its not a full hit at cost just what parts cost, where as the motor, everything in there is mine...

My heart sank when I heard the motor wednesday, it honestly sounded like PTV, but it was actually the pushrod nailing the valve cover...


Like i said, I am taking every precation on the car though... I knew there would be problems, and thats part of the game...

Well it's still in one piece....three passsrs tonight. Went 12.41@109 with me on the brakes for 70 foot. Again on a foot brake. I'll have the videos tommorow. I left the camera in the trailer last which I left at the track since I'll be there tommorow.

I'm going to pull the valve covers tommorow morning and see if everything is good.

No breakage today either!! Did have the valve covers off three times thouhg...

and today the car went 12.33@108 first pass, then 13.44 running on 7 cylinders, and then a 12.38@108 in eliminations, and then i redlit, but whould have broken out anyway in the second round of eliminations with a 12.31@109.

Im pleased, the car is consistant, and it didnt have to be pushed into the trailer! Thats two nights in a row! lol
